current than others due to things like work load and internet stability in the Assessors' offices.
Welcome to the Garvin County section of OkAssessor. We are a privately owned company that has written the
Appraisal Assistan program to provide easy appraisal data access for Appraisers, Real Estate Agents, Banks and anyone else needing this data.
We host our own servers on a dedicated T3 line that is supported by users of this site. We purchase the county data, and pay the salaries for all of our
employees by charging a subscription to access this online program. If you wish to subscribe to the

Garvin County, established at statehood, was named for Samuel Garvin, a prominent Chickasaw Indian and was once a part
of the Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory. Pauls Valley, the county seat, was named for Smith Paul, the first white settler
in this part of the Washita River Valley. In 1847, he described the area as "a section where the bottom land was rich and
blue stem grass grew so high that a man on horseback was almost hidden in its foliage".
The county is served by U.S. Highways 77 and 177 and Interstate 35. Amtrack's Heartland Flyer stops at the restored Sante
Fe Depot in Pauls Valley. Pauls Valley Municipal Airport and a Bus Line also serve the county.
The economy is based on agricultural (pecans, peanuts, soybeans, alfalfa and corn) and oil (a Refinery at Wynnewood and a
Gas Plant at Maysville).
Some of the points of interest are Pauls Valley's brick streets, Sante Fe Depot Plaza, Washita Valley Museum, Wacker Park,
Pauls Valley Golf Course, Pauls Valley City Lake, Longmire Lake, Wynnewood Eskridge Hotel and Museum, Murray Mansion south
of Lindsay, restored Bank & Museum in Stratford, and Elmore City's restored Main Street.
